What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, often referred to as "yogic sleep," is a form of guided meditation and relaxation that aims to induce a state of conscious relaxation. The practice originated from ancient yogic traditions and is typically done lying down in a comfortable position. The literal translation of Yoga Nidra is "yogic sleep," but it's not about falling asleep in the conventional sense.

During a Yoga Nidra session, a facilitator guides participants through a systematic process of body awareness, breath awareness, and visualization. The goal is to reach a state of deep relaxation while maintaining a state of awareness. This state is said to be akin to the border between wakefulness and sleep, where profound relaxation and rejuvenation can occur.

Remember to always listen to your body and make necessary adjustments when needed.
